Catalyst Club
David is the founder and host of the celebrated Catalyst Club, a unique monthly club-night that pays tribute to the old traditions of French Salon, debating societies and Gentleman’s Clubs.
On the night three guest speakers take to the lectern to talk for fifteen minutes on subjects close to their heart. This is usually followed by a Q&A, and, occasionally, a fight.
David has been hosting the club since 2004 in his informal and inimitable way, and has even learned to have a few semi-improvised talks up his sleeve for the odd nights when speakers fail to show up or are simply too drunk.
The Catalyst Club is currently hosted in the Latest Music Bar in Brighton every second Thursday of the month.
